Hello lovelies,
Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved having my nails done. I just love the fact you can chop and change the colours, style, shape etc and it’s the one thing which really makes me feel good about myself.
Although, I may love having my nails painted but I’ll be honest, I’m absolutely terrible at doing them myself. Honestly, it looks like a 2 year olds been let loose with nail varnish by the time I’ve finished so back a few years ago I started to go to a local nail salon to have them done.
My favourite nails to get are acrylics with gel paint – boy do they hit differently. But obviously COVID took over the world and everything shut so I had to remove my nails and go back to painting them myself.
I genuinely believe my mum had gotten fed up of the temper tantrums I was having every time I painted my nails so for Christmas, she brought me my own gel nail polish kit which she knew I’d wanted for a while. The brand its from is called Mylee.
I first heard of the Mylee Gel Nail Kits from a favourite youtuber of mine ‘SophDoesLife’ who had done a few AD’s with them over the last couple of years. She’s the nail queen (her talent for painting her own nails is second to none) and I knew that if she was singing Mylee’s praises, then it had to be a good kit!
So I thought I’d do a review here on my blog on this Mylee Gel Nail Kit and wether I, a person who seriously lacks in the nail painting department, think this is worth you spending your coin on. Let’s get into it…

Is It Easy To Use?
I’d defiantly say that’s it’s easy to use. It comes with a leaflet which guides you through the process with step by step instructions. Personally, I’ve found both the application of gel nails and the removal of gel nails to be straight forward. I wouldn’t say there’s really much room for error, as long as you follow the leaflet properly, you’ll be fine.
How Long Do The Nails Last?
Around 3 weeks. I noticed towards the end of the two weeks I had a couple of chips on two of my nails – nothing major though. I was still more than happy with the look of my nails so I would defiantly say they last a good 3 weeks.
Is There Anything That Isn’t In The Kit That You’d Recommend Buying?
There’s two things I’d 100% buy to go alongside this kit (BUT that being said, if you pay for a different kit which is a bit dearer than the kit I’m reviewing, you get these two items). I’d recommend you buying a nail buffer and a cuticle nipper.
These are both recommended to be used on the leaflet with instructions.
Would I Recommend Buying This Gel Nail Kit / Is It Worth The Money?
100% yes! I honestly think this is a game changer if you like having gel nails. I honestly can’t ever see myself going back to a nail shop again now that I’ve got my own kit and can do it from the comfort of my own home. It’s long lasting, looks flawless, is easy to do and the results are the same as what you’d get in a salon.
Put it this way, having this kit your saving yourself a pretty penny also! It’s really good value for money and has reasonable prices if you need a re-fill or fancy buying a new nail shade.
I really hope this review has helped you decide wether this is the kit for you or not. I genuinely think any of you who love gel nails, will absolutely love this kit. It really is bringing salon quality to the comfort of your own home!
